.The Radisson Hotel Bangkok, in cooperation with SVA Thailand (Sikkha Asia Foundation), are proud to present the Tanabata Festival from 3 to 13 July 2009 at Nishiki Japanese Restaurant with a portion of the proceeds being donated to support the education of underprivileged children. The official opening to be held on 3 July will be presided over by H E Mr Kyoji KOMACHI, Ambassador of Japan, and will feature specialty dishes associated with Tanabata, prepared by Nishiki’s Japanese chef Fumio Kato, who has served as a chef to the Japanese imperial family.
Tanabata Festival is a Japanese tradition, customarily celebrated wherein people write their wishes on tanzaku papers (colorful, small strips of papers) and hang them on bamboo branches and is on July 7th.
