WHY GO? The dining room is only a few feet from the
beach. The setting is comfortable yet intimate and the
staff is extremely personable and welcoming.
WHAT TO ORDER?
Gratinated snails in garlic herb butter
simply melt in your mouth, as does beef carpaccio.
Goat’s cheese, baked and dusted with paprika, is served
at just the right temperature and is complemented
by home-dried tomatoes and garlic. Once you get
past the starters, you are spoilt for choice again with
main courses such as rack of lamb served on a potato
rosti, oven-baked with asparagus and a bacon and leek
stew. Gnocchi fried with ham, artichokes, mushrooms
and salami, then coated in a pesto cream sauce is
superb, the light fluffy dumplings perfectly prepared
and cooked. If you are still eager for more, there is
chocolate souffle (definitely worth the wait) or fried
banana spring rolls drizzled with chocolate sauce and
served with vanilla ice cream.
