WHY GO? On the sixth floor above a stylish MINI
dealership, this subdued indoor/outdoor venue offers
high-quality fare prepared by an all-Thai staff that has
obviously studied and mastered Italian cuisine with a
modern twist, served by a well-trained wait staff.
WHAT TO ORDER?
Food is creatively presented and
portions are generous. Marinated tuna tartare with
salmon caviar is rich and tender. Grilled soft-shell crab
salad in spiced lemon oil arrives on a high stack of
greens with a deliciously spiced crust. Ravioli with four
cheeses in black truffle cream sauce delights olfactory
sensations as much as the tastebuds with pungent
truffle slices on fluffy pillows of goodness. Grilled
rack of lamb with wholegrain mustard and mint jelly is
wonderfully tender and juicy, a real treat for lamb lovers.
Grilled black angus fillet is wrapped in Italian speck
ham with a generous slice of goose liver on top that
melts as you eat it, mixing deliciously with the porcini
sauce. Desserts, such as tiramisu with vanilla gelato and
mascarpone mousse, or molten chocolate cake with
chocolate gelato, are tasty and well presented.
The mainly Italian list has several affordable bottles and some upper-echelon
choices for those with more extravagant tastes and/or expense accounts.
