WHAT TO ORDER? Deep-fried spinach and cheese spring roll makes a surprisingly good starter, the accompanying mayonnaise-wasabi sauce offering enough bite to cut through the gooey filling. Deep-fried sea bass topped with black pepper and garlic is as authentically Thai as can be, simply delicious. Mediumsized river prawn is perfectly grilled, its taste heightened by garlic and spicy seafood sauce. Spicy herb smoked salmon is also very enjoyable.

Buritara’s wine selection is decent but not especially extensive, with a focus on the usual Californian suspects.
