Description:
Its location slap bang in the middle of Central’s financial district means that Armani attracts a particular crowd. This is where the pretty people hang out, armed with their corporate accoutrements and banking jargon.
Service can be predictably dismissive – as seems to be the case in these avant-garde city hangouts – but the music is suitably upbeat.
The drinks menu is far from inexpensive, but is cunningly designed with three different cocktail sections: entrees ($100), main courses ($120) and desserts ($110). That means that there is a heap of shooters ($60), classics and mocktails but also more creative drinks such as the signature Lemon Sorbet, Basil Bellini and the Passionfruit and Caramel Martini. The shopping mall location inevitably dulls down the atmosphere at the front end of the bar, but once safely inside, the cubist white seating area and funky red décor makes this a chic and relaxed hangout.
