For just three days next week, Yantra will be presenting a
Michelin-starred culinary extravaganza, featuring guest chef Vineet
Bhatia. In 2001, Bhatia was the first Indian chef to receive the coveted
Michelin star for Zaika in London. In fact, he is best known for having
revolutionalised Indian food in Britain. Moving on, he opened Rasoi in
Chelsea in 2004, which received a Michelin star in January 2009. In
November the same year, Bhatia made history when yet another Michelin
star went to Rasoi by Vineet in Geneva, making him the only Indian chef
to hold stars in more than one country and second British-based chef to
accomplish this behind Gordon Ramsay.
Now locals can experience
the chef’s magic touch at Yantra, the award-winning local purveyor of
fine Northern Indian cuisine. Starting with a grand-champagne dinner on
27 August, a specially crafted five-course menu by Bhatia will be
matched with champagne selections from Champagne Henriot. On Saturday,
cooking enthusiasts will gain invaluable advice from Bhatia’s
masterclass, which follows with lunch by Yantra’s talented executive
chef, Chintan Pandya. Chef Bhatia offers another five-course set for
Saturday’s dinner and things end on a spectacular note with Sunday’s
brunch, where an a la carte selection of the celebrity chef’s signatures
is complemented with Yantra’s brunch spread.
