Dear Editor,
What is habanero chilli?
This small, lantern-shaped chilli originates from South America and the Caribbean. It is incredibly hot (one of the hottest chillis in the world) and ranges from light green to orange or red when ripe. It has a distinctive fruity flavour and floral aroma and can be used fresh or dried for sauces, salsas and spicy dishes. In Mexico, habanero chillis are infused in tequila.
