While it does not offer posh nosh, The Tent is a refreshing concept for casual dining. Help yourself to fresh vegetables, fish and meat slices, noodles and 21 sauces. Hand your token to the chef and start at the soup and salad bar; other starters are listed on the à la carte menu. Pick the ingredients for your meal to be grilled on hot plates, Mongol-style. Vegetarians have a separate grill and their own special sauces. Pick items from the buffet like there's no tomorrow or opt for house specialities such as warrior select or khan's favourite. Mongolian conqueror is a lychee drink with dark sugar while Mongolian chiller is a tall, creamy drink. Desserts include cake and ice cream.There are reasonably priced New and Old World reds and whites. There are also liqueurs, sake, spirits and eight varieties of beer and house pours are $10 each.
