The small and cosy Swiss Grill at Bukit Timah is a great place for a
hearty, unpretentious meal especially on weekends. Choose a seat at the
al fresco area or indoors and order a range of meats, burgers and
salads.
New items were recently launched, which include
substantial burgers. Try the lamb burger with crispy bacon and pickled
onions sandwiched between soft herb buns or blue cheese burger with a
juicy beef patty, slab of blue cheese and sautéed onions. For something a
tad lighter, opt for the grilled silky smooth codfish burger with
herbed mayo, cherry tomatoes and lettuce. On cooler days, slurp up the
aromatic French-style onion soup with gratinated Gruyere cheese.
Diners
will be glad to know that Chef Colin West prepares everything including
the sauces and mash from scratch every day. Plus the meats are never
frozen. The juicy burger patties are made from premium chuck beef, while
only Angus 200-day grain-fed beef and premium wagyu are used for the
steaks. You are assured of flavourful and tender meat with a good
balance of marbling. Those with big appetites can zero in on the Burger
with the Lot – composed of home-cured bacon, sunny side up egg, cheddar
cheese and gherkins. Or those who want something other than red meat can
go for the crispy chicken burger – with whole chicken thigh marinated
with spices. Swiss Grill’s sausages such as the pork with cheese and
spicy Italian are amazingly delicious and great with chilled beer.
