Siem Reap II’s Pomelo Salad is refreshing with grapes and sweet baby tomatoes accompanying chilled prawns. The Pho Vit soup base is not too strong, and the noodles cooked to perfection with generous slices of braised duck. As recommended, the Bun Bac Biet was delicious with its fried prawns, seafood fish cake, crab-cake on sugarcane sticks and Vietnamese rolls mixed with the vermicelli and a tangy Vietnamese peanut sauce.
The Steak Sandwich is a tasty option also. Cakes here may not be the café’s forte, so instead ask for the main Indochine menu. The Sticky Rice with Mango is a preferred indulgence, with the newly ripe mango slices pairing well with the excellent rice balls.
