Senso has been a magnet for Italian food aficionados as it consistently provides sumptuous Italian cuisine since it was founded in 2000. This cosy, 100-seater, fine dining Italian restaurant is geared to whet the appetites of gourmands by introducing the white Italian asparagus promotion from 5 to 18 April. In this six-course menu priced at $136++ per person, patrons are treated to a very indulgent dining experience. The meal starts off with green and white Italian asparagus salad with home marinated Canadian salmon, followed by silky cream of white Italian Asparagus with poached Sicilian prawn ‘Gambero Rosso’. Here, the prawns are plump and fresh and you wished there were seconds. The third course is a homemade potato Gnocchi with white Italian asparagus and fresh morel mushroom. Here, the earthy morel mushrooms are the perfect foil for the delectable Italian asparagus. Next up is air flown red mullet fillet stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes and basil on white Italian asparagus fond. The flavor of the fish pairs well with the sun-dried tomatoes and the earthy crunch of the Italian asparagus fond. Its fifth course is Tagliata from Australian grain-fed beef, marinated white Italian asparagus, tomato dressing and bread croutons. Mop up the sauce with the corpulent beef and enjoy every bite that is tender and unctuous. End the meal with a basil-lemon parfait with fresh white peach coulis and yogurt espuma, that refreshes your palate right to the last spoonful. To heighten your dining experience, patrons can pay an additional $72++ per person for a wine-pairing meal. Indeed, white asparagus announces the arrival of spring – of freshness and flavourful, rich textures.
