Since its beginnings in 2000, Saint Pierre has garnered a reputation for serving bona fide French cuisine. Helmed by executive chef Emmanuel Stroobant, the menu has classic Gallic culinary preparations with a slant towards Japanese. Tucked in Central Mall, located at Magazine Road, the establishment boasts contemporary interiors and a snazzy bar serving a range of bar mixes specially concocted by Stroobant. Start a meal with must-try cocktails that utilise refreshing organic zen-style juices that are salubrious. Best of all, these juices are primed to provide energy and elevate mood. Diners who head to Saint Pierre at off-peak hours also get to try a medley of delicious snacks priced affordably. The stylish 60-seater restaurant accommodates private rooms with seating capacities of 8 to 10 persons in the smaller room, 12 to 14 persons in the medium-sized room and maximum of 22 persons when the rooms are combined. Unique to Saint Pierre is how the menu is changed every quarter to reflect the seasons in Europe. Anyone making a trip to this restaurant must check out their signature dishes such as pan-fried foie gras with caramelised apple and old port sauce, braised black cod in white miso with warm Japanese eggplant salad and shiraz dressing, home-made flourless Belgian chocolate cake with strawberry coulis and ice-cream. Diners who have an affinity for foie gras have the benefit of choosing the premium liver cooked in a choice of six styles. Even Saint Pierre’s amuse bouche have gained credo. The mushroom cappuccino is delightfully earthy and scrumptious while the tomato tapenade, sashimi and foie gras terrine tantilises the taste buds so affectionately. The grilled lamb shanks served with goat’s cheese is another stunning Gallic creation that gets approving nods from regulars.
