First impression counts and the team at Sabai is highly aware of that. You will get to experience impeccable service woven with warmth and graciousness the moment you step into this elegant Thai restaurant. Exquisite Royal Thai cuisine is prepared by a team of veteran Thai chefs – whose objective is to serve the best for their guests. With nearly 20 years of experience in the F&B industry, Jongkolnee Thoboonme, who hails from Thailand, lead the management of Sabai. Thanks to her, the restaurant managers and waitstaff are all well-trained, highly efficient and thoughtful.
Sabai’s menu is rather extensive. Do ask the managers for recommendations or order specialties such as yam tua pluu – wing bean salad brimming with chicken and prawns, and jazzed up with roasted coconut, chilli jam and lime juice. This appetiser is a medley of sour, sweet and spicy flavours that Thai cuisine is so well known for, topped with pleasing textures. Alternatively, munch on deep-fried prawn cakes or crispy stuffed chicken wings before the mains arrive. One of the signatures is the red roast duck curry comprising chunks of tender duck meat with rich coconut cream, and aromatic sweet basil leaves. Seasonal fruits like lychee and pineapple add sweetness to the boldly flavoured dish. The chicken green curry which comes in a richly flavoured gravy is highly recommended too. Another highlight is the seabass steamed with a piquant bird’s eye chillies, garlic and fresh lime juice dressing. Presented piping hot to your table, you can complement the succulent fish with Jasmine or wild rice. For a sweet ending, Sabai offers a beautifully presented fruits and dessert buffet. Or you can opt for the classic sweetened white sticky rice served with sweet mango or refreshing coconut ice cream. With its satisfying dishes and fine wines, dining here will always result in memorable experiences. Sabai, 391B Orchard Road, #04-23 Ngee Ann City Tower B, Tel: 6333 8491
