Chef Patron Carlo Marengoni hails from the town of Bergamo and has brought Ristorante Bologna of Marina Mandarin’s culinary excellence to higher acclaim since he joined the restaurant in 2006. Having started his love affair with cooking from an early age of 14 as an apprentice cook at one of Italy’s top culinary schools, the prestigious Istituto Professionale Alberghiero Di Stato San Pellegrino Terme, Chef Carlo has built an illustrious career spanning 24 years in the kitchens of numerous respectable Italian restaurants in Italy. These include one-Michelin star Ristorante Lio Pellegrini, Bergamo, Italy and Ristorante La Fontana, Citta’ Alta, Italy, as well as various well-known Italian culinary establishments in Singapore, since his move to Singapore 13 years ago. Today, the 20-year-old restaurant situated on the fourth storey of Marina Mandarin, is recognised for churning out some of the best tasting and traditional Italian dishes in Singapore. The ambience here offers the correct romantic lighting and contemporary soft furnishings. Guests have the option of dining outdoors in the alfresco courtyard that overlooks a beautiful waterfall feature.
And for cheese lovers, you’ll be elated to know that Ristorante Bologna is offering an indulgent menu centred around artisanal cheeses specially flown in from Italy. Pair them with the restaurant’s prized wines and you’re in for a memorable dinner. Ala carte prices start from $16++.
