Poised to introduce new and exciting tastes, styles and flavours to the culinary delights at mezza9, Chef Stefan Beer received his culinary training in his native Switzerland and has won numerous distinguished awards, including World Champion at the Culinary World Cup Luxemborg, as well as Chef of the Year at the Swiss Culinary Cup.
The set lunch menu will be served from the chic show kitchens, namely Deli, Sushi-Sashimi Bar, Yakitori Grill, The Grill and The Steam Basket, which offer a wide variety of cuisines and cooking styles. Starters include the vine-ripened cherry tomato salad with arugula, basil and sea salt - a simple yet fresh and flavoursome start to a meal.
The restaurant is also introducing the new Fish of the Day and Roast of the Day specials, which will add an enjoyable variety to the menu, and offers diners a taste of the best produce the restaurant receives from the market. Dishes may include the likes of a New Zealand monkfish with lobster veloute and ratatouille, or an apricot-stuffed roasted pork loin with Vichy carrots and red wine sauce.
Those who prefer Japanese fare must try the bento box, featuring fresh assorted sashimi, grilled mackerel, teriyaki beef, and a crispy deep fried crab claw wrapped in a fluffy layer of croquette, or the yakitori set with chicken, chicken meat roll, quail egg and assorted sashimi. Sides include udon noodle, salad, and fresh fruits.
For Chinese food lovers, choose from a selection of carefully prepared dishes such as the fried cod fish with spicy sauce served with ginger fried rice, or the innovative steamed minced chicken ball with cuttlefish, served with flat rice noodles.
