Level33

Crisp bacon, thick-cut chips, sunny side up ‘confit' in duck fat - Level33's all day breakfast platter is the supermodel version of all breakfasts. If there's any reason to head to the Marina Bay Financial Centre on weekends, it's for an entirely different kind of occupation - namely, food. The world's highest urban microbewery, Level33 feels miles away from the offices below it, with generous views of the Marina Bay area from most of the tables. This means you won't need a fat expense account to tuck into the luxurious Sunday roasts, available only from 12 noon to 5.30pm on Sundays, as well as the all day breakfast, seductively arrayed on a rustic board.

While you can find Sunday brunch just about everywhere, the quality of ingredients at down-to-earth prices at Level33 is enough to sway the most jaded palates. The all day breakfast board comprises two butcher's sausages, three pieces of crisp bacon, baked vine tomato, forest mushroom, homemade baked beans, thick-cut chips, malt bread and their own 33.1 blond lager ketchup. Should this prove insufficient, delve straight into the hearty roasts - beef, chicken and fish versions are available. The well-executed beef is a 120-day grain-fed slab of roast, topped with Yorkshire pudding and gravy, and accompanied by English roast potatoes, pumpkin, carrots and red onions. If you must go ‘light', baked Scottish salmon in puff pastry comes with sautéed spinach, egg mousse, onion marmalade and poached asparagus in saffron sauce - a wonderfully balanced meal. Even kids are not left out, as they can nosh on quality fish ‘n' chips, made from tempura of black cod, or Danish style meatballs.

The food is a perfect match for their confidently crafted beers - aside from 33.2 Pale Ale and 33.3 Stout, our favourite is now the first of their seasonal offerings, 33.5 Czech Amber. Inspired by Prague tradition, this bottom-fermented beer is refreshing even for non-lager drinkers, with a richer aroma from Czech hops. Available will the tap runs dry, which is estimated about early July.

Level33 is at #33-01 Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 1, 8 Marina Boulevard, 6834 3133, www.level33.com.sg
