Kiseki

The brand new Kiseki is set to become Singapore’s go-to Japanese buffet destination. With 200 items spread over 29 categories, as well as four a-la-minute counters providing live cooking action, diners are bound for a gourmet wonderland. A good strategist would first hit the fresh sashimi featuring a selection of salmon, tuna kingfish, and swordfish before tucking into the crunchy salmon handroll maki and soft-shell crab handroll maki. Diners can also customise their own handroll by mixing and matching their favourite ingredients. Seafood lovers should not miss the spiny lobsters, half-shell scallops and heaps of other fresh ocean catch. For grilled items, head to the robatayaki counter for grilled saba or salmon head. Or enjoy the yakitori items such as grilled salmon belly, homemade tsukene (chicken meat balls) and others. Over at the teppanyaki station, you can have tender beef cubes with garlic plus assorted vegetables and seafood. Great for rainy days is the nabemono or hot pot - try the traditional beef sukiyaki or shabu-shabu. Those who prefer meat can aim for the juicy ribeye steaks and pork chops at the western grill. Afterwards go green at the full salad bar brimming with tako (octopus) salad, tuna salad as well as a variety of home-made Japanese sauces and salad dressings. If you still have room, Kiseki’s range of desserts include tofu cheesecake, goma pudding, crepes and a selection of ice cream, tarts and cakes. Kiseki Japanese Buffet Restaurant, The Heeren Basement #B1-01, 260 Orchard Road, Tel: 6736 1216
