Imagine three highly acclaimed chefs rustling up their specialties
for you in one kitchen. This will be a reality when Gordon Grill
presents its unique promotion – ‘Epicurean Magic’ from 9 to 16 July.
This culinary event will showcase Jason Atherton, consulting chef of
Shanghai’sTable No.1, Sat Bains chef-owner of the one-Michelin starred
Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms in Nottingham, England as well as André
Chiang, formerly of Jaan Par Andre, together for the first time. Each
chef will prepare dishes that best represent their culinary styles
(modern French by Atherton and Chiang, and modern British by Bains).
Their creations will then be woven into well-thought-out degustation
menus. Some of the items include hot foie gras jelly with Tasmania black
truffle coulis and charcoal-grilled giroles by Chiang; roasted red
gambas, lemon peel puree, and sea-vegetables by Atherton; and braised
beef cheek with oyster emulsion, seaweed and radish by Bains.
During
the week, Gordon Grill will serve only two prix fixe menus (a
five-course lunch menu – S$188++; S$228++ with wine pairing; and an
eight-course dinner menu – S$308++; S$388++ with wine pairing). Both
menus will include exquisite ingredients such as otoro, heirloom
tomatoes, Tasmanian black truffles and Madagascar vanilla oil. The
regular Gordon Grill a la carte and set menus will not be available
