Expect to pay about S$42 ++ per person for free flow of meat and a buffet spread of 25 dishes, which includes salads, cold pasta and rice, and more. Newbies to Brazilian food should try the feijoada, a traditional Brazilian dish of black beans and pork parts such as savoury sausages and crunchy pig's ears. The Portugese dish is wholesome and well textured, and best enjoyed with plain rice. Other noteworthy choices include the heart of palm, a crunchy, shoot-like vegetable harvested from the inner core of certain palm tree varieties; the gree n mango salad; and flaky seaweed-like salted vegetable crisps. If you have had one too many meats, round off your meal with tangy, juicy slices of barbecued pineapple for a most refreshing balance.
A selection of wines from almost every wine-growing region is available here, with two selections each of red and white wine offered by the glass. While greetings at the door were at best lukewarm, the hostess was particularly warm, taking time to explain the buffet concept and recommend house specialities. With variety and good value, to boot, this bustling restaurant makes a perfect weekend hangout for friends and family.
