The posh tea parlour in Mandarin Gallery now offers more than teatime nibbles. Arteastiq recently introduced its all-day brunch menu featuring various healthy western dishes with an Asian twist. Inspired by beautiful Asian films, Arteastiq offers dishes such as Pearl of the Mekong River - delicate morsels of crab and green mango encased in a pearl-coloured rice paper wrap. Another surprisingly tasty bite is the prata wrap, which comes with a choice of curry chicken, beef pastrami, smoked turkey ham, crab salad or smoked salmon. There are also other simple combinations such as a turkey ham with tomatoes in cheese quesadilla, or a smoked chicken and mango tortilla wrap, which make for a light afternoon lunch.
Don't miss the teas, which are Arteastiq's speciality. The beautifully presented teas range from fruit teas, English or floral teas, and a selection of Chinese and Japanese teas. For the less traditional, there are dessert teas that include combinations of ginger spice tea with whisky cinnamon gelato, earl grey lavender tea with vanilla gelato or French rose tea with Champagne vanilla gelato.#04-14/15 Mandarin Gallery, 333A Orchard Road.
