Aquamarine @ Marina Mandarin

Executive Thai guest chef Pamon Pheng-Noo of Six Senses Hideaway Samui located in Koh Samui, Thailand is set to provide more earthly pleasures for the palette. Chef Pamon, assisted by our executive chef Tony Khoo will present a wide selection of Thai specialties cooked in exciting variations at Aquamarine, Level 4, located at Marina Mandarin, from 7 to 16 May. Their tantalising spread promises to thrill your taste buds, and will feature dishes like Tom Yum Goong (Spicy and Sour Prawn Soup with Lime, Chili and Lemon Grass), Gai Phad Ped Mamuang (Stir Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts), Poo Phad Pong Kari (Yellow Curried Crab), Yam Nua Yang (Spicy Beef Salad) and many more, you'll be going back for seconds.

Chef Pamon was born in the Songkla Province in South Thailand, and started cooking in his family's Thai restaurant when he was a child. He started his first job as chief cook in Lampam Resort Phattalung after a chance meeting with its owner at his family's restaurant. Eventually, he was inspired to learn better cooking techniques, and headed to Bangkok where he took up a Thai-Western culinary course at Dusit Thani College.

Since then, Chef Pamon has built up an impressive portfolio at a number of respectable restaurants in hotels and resorts, such as Napasai Orient-Express Hotel and Villa Lawana Resort & Spa, before finally making his way to Six Senses Hideaway Samui, where he not only presides as the executive Thai chef, but also conducts cooking classes within the resort's cooking school. Chef Pamon believes that if one is passionate about cooking, the food he cooks for others will not just be delicious, but will also impact their lives for the better. With such great love for cooking, he hopes that his menu of authentic Thai specialties such as Pad Thai and Tom Yum Goong will not only fill his guests' stomachs, but bring meaning to their lives as well, and perhaps attract them to visit Thailand more often. And since this scrumptious Thai spread is from the 7 to 16 May, it coincides with Mother's Day! If mom is in the mood for some hot and spicy Thai cuisine, Aquamarine's Tantalising Thai promotion is sure to make her smile like a Cheshire cat!
