Begin your gastronomic journey with one of the delightful salads. The Daikon-Lettuce and Radish topped with Bonito flakes with a creamy sesame dressing or Kaiso-Seaweed with sesame dressing are highly recommended. Segue to the Negi Toromaki, chopped fatty tuna belly with spring onion – simply divine. No meal in Tsukiji would be complete without indulging in its exceptional Wagyu ohmi, available in a variety of authentic Japanese renditions: sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, teppanyaki or yakiniku. This champion Japanese beef is so moist, unbeatably tender, flavourful and buttery it melts in your mouth. Pescatorians need not fret, the Gindara Saikyo – a perfectly grilled Japanese cod marinated in miso – is an excellent alternative. An excellent tip: lunch sets offering everything from sashimi to beef yakiniku options that come complete with generous servings of appetiser, soup and salad are a very affordable way to sample Tsukiji's usually pricey culinary delights.
