WHY GO:

Hidden in a quiet space at the mezzanine of Dusit Thani Manila, Benjarong Royal Thai Restaurant never fails to delight Thai cuisine aficionados with its authentic and flavourful offerings. The aroma alone of well-prepared curries will definitely put you in bliss.

WHAT TO ORDER

A steaming bowl of Tom Yum Talay (a spicy sour seafood clear soup) teases your palate and provides a perfect start. Complement it with Yam Som O, a cold salad with prawns and chicken strips on a bed of sweet and zesty pomelo chunks. Try the best-seller, Phad Thai Gung, stir-fried noodles with prawn, bean curd and bean sprouts topped with crispy shreds of egg and you can never go wrong. The aromatic Gaeng Phed Gai is perhaps the best red chicken curry in town with its sumptuous, rich sauce, best paired with steamed jasmine rice. Seafood connoisseurs will fall in love with Andaman Phad Kee Mao, a flavourful mix of steamed crab meat, prawns, squid and fish served with a tangy garlic, coriander and chilli sauce. Cap your dining experience with Khao Niao Mamuang, a luscious serving of sticky rice with slices of ripe mangoes on the side. Indeed, this dessert is worth the long wait. The signature lemongrass juice is also a must.

Signature dishes:

    Phad Thai Gung
    Pomelo Salad
Tom Yum Gung (Thai hot prawn soup)
