The Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit Competition (HKIWSC) came to an end with an awards presentation ceremony held last Thursday at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.
Of the 1,700 entries this year, 875 wines were awarded. A judging panel with over 20 professional wine experts selected the gold, silver and bronze awards for varietals and regional wines, best food and wine pairing awards for braised abalone, dim sum, kung pao chicken, Peking duck and sashimi and as well as awards for country-specific best wines, including China.
