James Suckling Visits Leoville-Barton

James Suckling visits Anthony Barton, the owner of Leoville-Barton and Langoa-Barton in Saint-Julien

Continuing his tour of some of France's best second-growth chateaux, James Suckling visits Chateau Leoville-Barton in the appellation of Saint-Julien in Bordeaux this week. There, he meets with owner Anthony Barton - who runs both Chateau Leoville-Barton and its sister property, Chateau Langoa-Barton - and taught Suckling himself how to taste barrel samples. On this visit, Suckling samples the 2000, 2003, 2005 and 2009 (in barrel) vintages.
