Yamm is situated in the Mira hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui. The recently renovated hotel looks fantastic and plenty of thought has been put into the design of Yamm. It’s spacious and the atmosphere is relaxing. The decor is ultra modern with high ceilings and an impressive buffet counter surrounded with plenty of glass displays and is thoughtfully lit. It is easy to have a quiet meal amongst friends or a large party gathering at Yamm.

Yamm is, ostensibly, a hotel coffee shop and it has a wide array of both Western and Asian flavours on the menu. There are plenty of regional and international dishes to choose from around the world to suit all tastes. The chilled lobster salad (HK$160) is fresh and very tasty and comes with a generous helping of lobster meat. The prawn bisque is (HK$90) is intensely flavoured and is decorated a with Chinese-style prawn wonton. Both make a good choice as appetisers. The signature dish, the slowly roasted rack of lamb with ratatouille and rosemary jus (HK$220) is soft and tender and full of flavour, but due to the nature of the cooking method this dish comes out done medium well. The braised wagyu cheek with creamy potato and natural jus (HK$240) is very tasty and the perfectly braised beef is soft and melts in the mouth. The wok-tossed Asian greens (HK$50) retain a nice crunch to the bite and are seasoned exactly with the right amount of garlic. The exotic fruit platter with lemon sorbet (HK$90) is a refreshing way to end a meal at Yamm.

Yamm has a fairly large master wine list with a great range of wines from the old and new world and encompasses all price ranges. There is a good choice of wines by the glass including both prosecco and champagne.

Yamm’s service is impeccable. Thoughtful waiting staff are attentive and knowledge of both food and wine is of the highest standard.

Dinner for two will come to around HK$500 per person with a glass of wine each, which for the service you get is very good value.
