The Galaxy casino complex is the newest and brightest in Macau - full of glitter and glamour with bright lights, performing artists and camera-laden gawking crowds. Terrazza, Galaxy’s Italian restaurant, provides a welcome oasis of calm. Everything is top class in this spanking new restaurant. Glassware and table settings are elegant whilst seating is soft and comfortable. Chefs can be seen busily at work in the open kitchen. Gentle Italian music plays in the background.
Food
The youthful chef de cuisine Alfio Longo has adapted well to the needs of his clientele. All dishes exhibit a light touch with no heavy handedness. Ogle the complimentary bread trolley brought to the table with an exciting array of choice. Not to be missed are the cheese, olive and tomato foccacia and the squid ink baguette while the grissini come piping hot to dip in the high quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. For starters, take a look into the glass-fronted cellar where a chef\'s selection of four cold cuts and four cheeses can be had for MOP188. Alternatively moules mariniere – mussels, creamed shallots, white wine and parsley - is a generous serving and tasty. Soups are often overlooked but the minestrone alla Genovese is light, delicate, and full of fresh vegetables. All pastas are homemade using Durham wheat flour and free-range eggs. The chef’s recommendation of tortellini caprese with mozzarella, San Daniel prosciutto, olives and basil pesto is beautifully presented and has a cornucopia of delicious flavours. Risotto of green peas, crayfish tails, and Barolo reduction is perfectly cooked. Plenty of choice is available for a main course of fish or meat. Spit-roasted corn- fed spring chicken is carved at the table and is sufficient for two as it comes with a selection of grilled vegetables and potato – all for MOP218. To end, the tiramisu is pure theatre with the dish created tableside layer by layer.
Wine
The Galaxy master list is compiled by Jeannie Cho Lee, Master of Wine. The comprehensive list contains most of the famous names in the world of wine. Particularly notable are the selections from Joseph Drouhin, Felton Road, Chateau Margaux, and Ornellaia. Twenty wines are offered by the glass. If in doubt about pairing food with wine, consult the extremely knowledgeable lady sommelier. Pricing is somewhat erratic and may be revised downwards soon.

Staff are well-trained and know the menu well. Dishes are divided to share if requested.
Price
A delicious dinner for two without drinks is less than MOP1,000 - great value for this quality of restaurant.
