Setting
Housed within historic Hullett House in Tsim Sha Tsui, St. George occupies a vaulted ceiling room with a balcony overlooking the vibrancy of Canton Road. Modern decor and dramatic chandeliers bring a contemporary feel to the room’s colonial heritage; beautiful flower arrangements and comfortable seating assure you of an elegant evening.

Food
St. George brings the artistry of food to life; dishes are visually stunning and delicious; green sea urchins from Brittany cooked in their shells with quail eggs treat you to an aromatic taste indulgence that lingers delicately on the tongue while baby pork from the Pyrenees is succulent, aromatic and simply delicious. Sole Goujonnette with autumn mushrooms served with a homemade gnocchi infused with nutmeg is light and seasonal. Vegetarians are not especially well catered for at St. George, but at least they too can partake in the enticing desserts, which capture the child within us with dramatic use of chocolate in the Jivara fondant or the delicate use of passion fruit in the ravioli.

Wine
An extensive and varied array of wines with a focus on the old world offer some truly exceptional vintages. The sommelier’s choice features an excellent selection that allows diners to indulge in renowned wines to accompany each dish. An enthusiastic sommelier is happy to help you choose the perfect wine for your evening.

Service
Silver service that occasionally slips to bronze is quickly righted with a word to the senior staff. Courses are presented dramatically and each dish explained; glasses are never empty and whilst at times you may need to signal twice to catch your waiter’s eye, for the most part service reflects the high quality of the establishment and a genuine desire to please.
Price
A meal for two without wine will cost around HK$950, with wine about HK$1,600. St. George is fine dining with all the trappings; it is for indulgent special occasions.
