Nestled in an oasis of calm above a busy shopping centre, the location offers diners the chance to bask under the stars out on the podium or enjoy the Taverna-style interior complete with mosaic tile floors, hand-painted walls and continental ambience.
Food
Tapas are the main attraction, and these tasty Spanish morsels come in an impressive range of flavours and combinations. Inexperienced diners can safely choose attractive boards of tidbits designed to be accompanied by either red or white wine. Individual dishes are more intricate and include offerings such as scallop, doused in oil and full of flavour. To add more interest, traditional ingredients are given a powerful twist and snails, for example, are reinforced with a complex sauce packed with rich spices. Pasta with either seafood or chorizo is also recommended, but the house speciality is cured meats. Plump either for thin slices of subtly nuanced Iberian ham cut from a black pig and aged for three years, or for Serrano ham served in several dishes including a Cantaloupe melon salad accompanied by artichoke and sprinkled with muscatel vinegar. A tremendous experience.
Wine
Wine and tapas go together and Spanish varietals dominate a small, but well-chosen list.
