A pub-like structure that sits right on the oceanfront in Stanley, The Boathouse serves up a convivial atmosphere, with the gentle hubbub of chatter acting as the perfect soundtrack to a relaxed setting.
Food
When you enter the venue, look around – on many tables you’ll find some incarnation of the menu’s bucket of fresh seafood, which is customisable with multiple types of seafoods and sauces. Most often, you’ll see clams or mussels doused in white wine with garlic cream sauce, which is undoubtedly the jewel in The Boathouse’s crown. The recent substitution of fist-sized clams over the traditional coin-sized variety also means more bang for your buck. The dishes are designed for sharing, so order lots and pass the plates. Fish and chips is a favourite, done to perfection with a crispy exterior and melt-in-your-mouth meat. And most of the sandwiches are safe bets, with the steak sandwich and the chicken and portabello panini particularly delectable. The food is generally carb-heavy, so you may not have room for dessert, but if you do, then the Death by Chocolate is a pretty good way to go.

A respectable selection of New and Old world Wines is available at reasonable prices so you can sip and watch the sun set.
