Chic, sexy and modern, Azure is both elegant and ultra-hip. The spacious and inviting dining room at the top of the lounge’s winding stairs will impress diners with gorgeous views of the city and tasteful décor. Located on the top floor of the trendy Hotel LKF, Azure is a place to see and be seen.

Azure’s menu is long, with over ten different types of pasta alone and caters to a large variety of tastes, with the notable exception of vegetarians. For a menu of this size, it is surprising that there are only three vegetarian options. Start with Azure’s signature lobster bisque, a creamy and decadent version made with Boston lobster. As far as we could tell, the foie gras trio was actually a duo but is an excellent dish nonetheless with seared foie gras served on spiced gingerbread and foie gras mousse topped with port wine jelly, accompanied by a refreshing fennel and orange salad. Fresh Boston lobster salad is a delightfully light course – chunks of poached lobster are tossed with green papaya and bean sprouts with an additional lobster claw served on a pear cube. The Australian lamb chop, a signature dish, is served with two petite lamb chops on the bone, perfectly seared to order and accompanied by a modern version of eggplant moussaka and roasted cherry tomatoes. For a lighter main course, try the pan-tossed tiger prawns served with a composed avocado and mango salad. Finish with the hazelnut dacquoise with chocolate cream, a delicious and beautiful creation with a cylinder of praline chocolate mousse atop a fluffy hazelnut sponge cake.

Azure has an excellent, carefully selected wine selection, with many options available by the glass. To accompany red meat dishes, try the Terrazas de los Andes Reserva Malbec 2007, a vibrant and fruity red with plenty of character from the tannins.

The service at Azure is provided by a well-trained, friendly and knowledgeable staff who are attentive and efficient.

Azure shines above other restaurants in its price range with its creative, beautifully presented dishes and excellent service. Dinner for two will cost about HK$1,200, excluding wine.
