Celebrating New Year is the most important annual festival in most cultures and the Japanese have unique customs to celebrate this date, which includes having noodle on New Year's Eve, to wish for longevity and good health in the upcoming New Year. This year on New Year's Eve, Sagano at Nikko Hongkong will follow the tradition and offer a Long Life Noodles set meal from 10:30 pm to midnight. The noodle set is priced at HK$208 per person and includes a bowl of Long Life Noodles served with futomaki and dried beancurd sushi. On New Year's Day, Sagano will also be celebrating with traditional osechi meal for breakfast (HK$320) and lunch (HK$570). For diners who would like to experience more Japanese culture, Sagano's Japanese head chef will perform a mochi-making ceremony at 11:00 am and give out the freshly made Japanese rice cake for tasting after the ceremony.
