Thanksgiving at Home

Celebrate the American festival at home with help from the best caterers in town

By Cindy Chan

In celebration of a good harvest, the American Thanksgiving festival first started in the 17th century. Though not as prominently celebrated here in Hong Kong, we still celebrate the annual turkey feast here at Asia Tatler Dining. While there is always the option of dining out (as we will cover in our feature next week), Thanksgiving is a great time to hang out at home with friends and family. To help you prepare your own special Thanksgiving dinner at home, we have selected some of the best caterers and suppliers in town to let you enjoy a hassle-free Thanksgiving meal.

Homegrown Foods

Thanksgiving is a celebration of a year of good harvest and the perfect opportunity to enjoy delicious autumn produce. Providing organic and fresh fruits and vegetables from farms in Hong Kong and southern China, Homegrown Foods has prepared a special Thanksgiving hamper for this special occasion. Priced at HK$788 (regular) and HK$988 (premium), the Thanksgiving hamper includes a bottle of premium red wine (Australian Dowie Doole "Hunt" Cabernet Sauvignon, McLaren Vale 2009 or New Zealand Chard Farm River Run Pinot Noir, Central Otago 2009), and a selection of seasonal vegetables typically used in Thanksgiving dinners to make sides and soups including pumpkin, beetroot, broccoli, sweet corn and zucchini and basil. Customers can make their orders online and the Thanksgiving hamper will be delivered directly from the farm to your front door.
