One of the best cheese outlets in town, Classified, is opening its first pop-up store at the Landmark in Central. From tomorrow until Christmas eve, the Classified Christmas Market will be selling various Christmas treats from the brand's own product range, Classified Pantry.

Shoppers will find a tempting range of Classified's famous cheese platters and wines for sale along with other traditional seasonal goodies such as Christmas fruitcakes, mince pies, Stollen cakes and European-styled Lebkuchenherzen (heart-shaped gingerbread).

Classified's pop-up store is open daily from 10:30am to 8pm from November 4 to December 24.

Mango Tree first opened in Bangkok in 1994, serving authentic and traditional Thai food from all four regions of Thailand. Since then, it has opened branches in London, Tokyo and Dubai, and starting this week, Hong Kong. Located on the fifth floor of Cubus, a building in Causeway Bay that is gaining renown for its host of other high-end restaurants such as Sushi Ta-ke and Bella Vita, Mango Tree's first Hong Kong outlet will serve all the signature items such as crabs baked with Thai herbs and glass noodles; barbecued river prawns; and roasted duck curry served in a whole pineapple.

We’ve been excited about the prospect of Heirloom Eatery’s opening ever since we heard that they will be serving tacos on the menu. And now, the two-level restaurant is finally (soft) opened. Run by Ashton and Vivian, two chefs with extremely diverse backgrounds (Ash is from Mexico while Viv is from Indonesia with Chinese, American, Spanish, Hungarian and Austrian roots), the new restaurant advertises itself as “not a café, not fine dining”, just an eatery and the menu is just as eclectic with dishes made from organic, sustainable produce.

At about this time last year, we reported on the Miramar group partnering with Hong Kong's flag carrier Cathay Pacific to offer new inflight delights from restaurants such as Cuisine Cuisine, The French Window, Whisk and Yamm.

This year, it seems Cathay Pacific has found a new partner in Swire Hotels and flights departing Hong Kong from November 1 to January 31 will be serving meals from Café Gray Deluxe and Feast in its business and first class.

Dishes that will be served include Café Gray Deluxe's famous braised short rib of beef with polenta and meaux mustard, as well as Feast (Food By East hotel in Tai Koo)'s Iberico chorizo with prawn and tzatziki sauce. Dishes from Swire's The Opposite House in Beijing will also be contributing dishes from its Sureno and Bei restaurants.

The Italian Cuisine and Wines World Summit starts today and ends on November 6 as it lands in Hong Kong for the third time. Seventeen Italian master chefs have arrived in Hong Kong to dazzle and delight local gourmands with its exciting demonstrations and exclusive dining events over the next six days.

This year's summit focuses on risottos and the art of pizza making. Open to all professional and food lovers, a special Risotto World Summit Competition will be held on November 4. Meanwhile, Spasso restaurant and guest chef, Domenico Crolla, will be hosting the Launch of Luxury Pizza event that evening to let dinners know how the humble pizza can become a meal of luxury and decadence.

Furthermore, each of the Italian master chefs will be working with one of Hong Kong's very best Italian restaurant to introduce mouth-watering Italian menus over the summit period. 208 on Hollywood Road, for example, will be hosting Umbrian chef Sauro Scarabotta who has created a rustic tasting menu with dishes such as polenta with wild boar and Umbrian country-style Delverde spaghetti.
